This chunky paperclip chain necklace is made of elongated links with rounded corners. The open rectangular shape makes the chain easy to recognize and gives the neckline more weight than a fine everyday link necklace.
Choose gold or silver tone. The larger links stand out with a plain tee or open-collar shirt; you can also layer the chain with a shorter fine necklace, keeping the different link sizes distinct.
The elongated links look noticeably larger than those on a fine chain. An open neckline keeps the rectangular shapes visible instead of tucking them beneath a high collar.
